This patching technique is made for someone who doesn’t have any experience using drywall tools or compounds.
The pancake pathing technique is completed in one single session with no messy sanding. That is to say that if you were to use a kit purchased in a box store like Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart or online these all include drywall compound (mud) this will typically need to dry over night and need to be sanded between coats and also after the finish coat thus, creating dust.
